I again introduce the voice of youth living in Palestine and Israel.

前回に続いて、パレスチナとイスラエルに住む若者の声を紹介します。

 

＜　2.  Separation barrier　＞

Question, “ What do you think that Israel and Palestine become after 2,000 years?”

The answers for it are greatly different between both sides.

Persons answering “Independent” is 18 cases of the Palestinians, and 4 cases of the Israelis.

The “Independent” of the Palestinians includes “liberation, freedom, and we come back".

It of the Israelis includes “liberation, opponent leaves, we rule".

Next, as for the answers of the Palestinians, there are each 3 cases of “peace” and “ indistinctness”,  2 cases of "destruction and the worst", and 1 case of “continuation” .

The Israeli opinions are split.

“destruction, atom bomb, and ruin”, “peace”, “continuation” are each 4 cases of the same number as “Independent”.

Next, there are each 3 cases of “ indistinctness” and “coexistence”, then each 1 case of “Palestine” and “which side only remains”.

質問　「２０００年後のイスラエルとパレスチナはどうなっていると思いますか？」

この回答は、両者で大きく異なる。

「独立」と答えたのは、パレスチナ人で１８件、イスラエル人で４件でした。

この「独立」には、パレスチナ人の回答「解放、自由、我々が戻る」を含めた。

イスラエル人の「解放、相手が去る、支配」を含めた。

パレスチナ人の回答で次いで多いものを挙げると、「平和」と「不明」の各３件、「破滅、最悪」の２件、「継続」の１件です。

イスラエル人の意見は分かれている。

「破滅、原爆、廃墟」、「平和」、「継続」が「独立」と同数の４件で並ぶ。

次いで「不明」と「共存」が３件で、「パレスチナ」と「どちらかの一方」が各１件ある。

There is same answer that means the result depends on God in common between both.

There are 3 cases of “the Messiah” in the Israelis, and 2 cases of “Allah and Koran” in the Palestinians.

The Palestinian youths are stronger than the Israeli youths, as their intention for exclusion and independence.

Israel has expanded the rule area with the overwhelming power, but the youths don’t feel a sense of relief.

I guess it from the total contents that they are pessimistic about the future and cling to a thread of hope.

両者に共通して、成り行きは「神」に依るとする回答がある。

イスラエルでは「救世主」の３件、パレスチナでは「神、コーラン」の２件です。

独立または他を排除の意思はパレスチナの若者の方がイスラエルの若者より強い。

圧倒する力で支配を広げるイスラエルだが、その若者達に安堵感は無い。

全体の文面から推察して共に将来に悲観的で、かすかな希望にすがっているように思える。

 

＜　3.  Camp David Accords in 1978　＞

Question, "Please tell me likable countries and hateful countries."

I see the Palestinian answer at first.

As for the likable countries, the most is 12 cases of “home country”, next, 6 cases of “Iraq”, and 3 cases of " the Arab and Islamic world".

As for the hateful countries, the most is 14 cases of “U.S. A.”, next 13 cases of “Israel”, next, 3 cases of “Europe”, and 2 cases of " the Arab and Islamic world".

Curiously, Palestinian youths most dislike the United States than opponent Israel.

I see the Israeli answer.

As for the likable countries, the most is 17 cases of “home country”, next, 5 cases of “countries of other continents”, and 1 cases of “ indistinctness”.

As for the hateful countries, the most is each 7 cases of " the Arab and Islamic world"and “ indistinctness”, next, each 3 cases of “anti-Judea” and "Europe and America", and 1 case of " home country".

The Israeli youths dislike “the Arab and Islamic world" than belligerent Palestine again.

There is person that dislikes home country and criticizes himself, and we can look at this case in other answers.

質問　「好き国と嫌いな国を教えて下さい。」

先ず、パレスチナ人の回答を見る。

「好きな国」で最多は、「自国」の１２件、次いで「イラク」の６件、「アラブ、イスラム」の３件です。

「嫌いな国」の最多は、「米国」の１４件、次いで「イスラエル」の１３件、欧州の３件、「アラブ、イスラム」の２件です。

奇妙な事に、パレスチナの若者は交戦国のイスラエルではなく、米国を一番に嫌っている。

イスラエル人の回答を見る。

「好きな国」で最多は、「自国」の１７件、次いで「他の大陸の国」（国名は割愛）の５件、「不明」の２件です。

「嫌いな国」の最多は、「イスラム、アラブ」と「不明」の各７件、次いで「反ユダヤ」「欧米」の各３件、「自国」の１件です。

イスラエルの若者は、ここでも交戦国のパレスチナより周辺のアラブ全体を嫌っている。

イスラエルの若者には、他の回答でも見られたが自国を嫌い、自己批判する者がいる。

I guess that the reason that Palestinian youths have a good feeling toward Iraq is a statement by President Hussein at the Gulf War in 1990.

He criticized President Bush that the United States had permitted Israel to invade Palestine but didn’t permit Iraq to invade Kuwait on the other hand. 

In addition, the reason why the United States is disliked were various interference and big military campaigns against the Arab in the last half century, and Arabic people dislike likewise.

補足説明

パレスチナの若者がイラクに好感を持つのは、１９９０年の湾岸戦争前夜のフセイン大統領の発言にあると思われる。

彼は、米国がイスラエルのパレスチナ侵略を許すのに、クウェート侵攻を非難するのは片手落ちだとブッシュ大統領を批判した。

また米国が嫌われる理由は、ここ半世紀のアラブへの干渉や軍事行動にあり、アラブの民衆も同様に嫌っている。

Summary

This result shows the intention of the youths in ten years ago, but I felt a bit of brightness.

They think that Europe and America, and Arabic countries invited this war, aggravate it, and neglect it. 

What is important is that Palestine and Israel don’t press the responsibility of the war only on the belligerent, and don’t dislike only it each other.

They love home country, but they seem not to think that they can pull themselves from this war.

A handful of a settlement activity that began approximately 70 years ago caused extraordinary numbers of people as the dead and refugees before long.

The youths seem to want to back away from this war on a personal basis, but the both antipathy comes to be deepened as a group.

And the weak seems to be destined to fall before long, and it is just such as a Jew broke up once 2,600 years ago.

This continue the next time.

まとめ

この結果は１０年以上前の若者の気持ちを示しているのだが、私は少し明るさを感じた。

この若者達は、欧米とアラブ各国が紛争を招き、こじらせ、放置していると考えている。

重要なことは、パレスチナとイスラエルが、互いに一方的に交戦国だけに戦争開始の責任を押し付けたり、憎悪の対象にしていないことです。

しかし彼らは自国を愛する一方、絶望し現状から抜け出せるとは思っていないようです。

７０年ほど前に始まった一握りの入植活動が、やがて途方もない死者と難民を生むようになった。

当事者の若者達は、個人として戦争から一歩身を引いているように思えるが、集団として対立は深くなるばかりです。

そして、弱者はやがて滅びる運命のように見える、かつてユダヤ人が２６００年前に離散したように
