I traveled to Guilin in China for 5 days.

The main attractions of this trip were boat tours of the Lijiang River and a walking of Logsheng Rice Terrace.

I introduce the sightseeing and a stroll in Guilin city.

私は中国の桂林を４泊５日で旅行してきました。

この旅行の目玉は、漓江下りと龍背棚田の散策でした。

これから桂林の観光と町歩きを紹介します。

Summary of this trip

I joined a tour organized by a tour company with my wife.

This travel schedule was from Tuesday, September 15, 2015 to Saturday, September 19.

We shuttled between Kansai International Airport and Guilin Airport via Shanghai Airport by airplanes.

We went around the actual place by a bus.

旅行の概要

ツアー会社：　トラピックス

ツアー名：　桂林と絶景の龍勝５日間

旅行日：　２０１５年９月１５日～１９日

主な行程：　関空・上海乗り継ぎ・桂林空港を前後２日かけて往復。現地は総べてバスで移動。

Good points of this trip

Because 11 participants of this trip can sit just around one Chinese table, we could travel harmoniously. 

Because we stayed for 4 days in same hotel, daily packing was easy.

This trip included in various sightseeing, but the fare was inexpensive comparatively.

Those days were hot as the highest temperature registered 31- 34 ℃, but we were blessed with fine weather.

Bad points of this trip

Our hotel was facing the Lijiang River, but was far from the downtown.　

We had to stay at 5 specialty stores for more than half-hour.

この旅行の良かった点

参加者１1名は一つの中華テーブルを囲める人数なので和気あいあいと旅行が出来た。

一つのホテルを４連泊したので毎日の荷造りが楽だった。

多彩な観光の割にツアー料金が安かった。

現地ガイドの日本語がいまいちだったが誠心誠意で良かった。

最高気温３１～３４℃と暑かったが晴れに恵まれた。

不満な点

宿泊ホテルは漓江に面していたが繁華街まで徒歩２５分以上と少し不便でした。

５ヵ所の専門店に各半時間以上立ち寄るのがつらい。

About Guilin

Guilin is in a mountainous area of the south of China, and a karst basin at an altitude of 150m. 

The scenery consists of numberless mountains of approximately tens of meters, because the ground was covered by limestone of the thickness of kilometers.

The population of Guilin city is 5 million, and 740000 in the urban area.

There are many minority people in this autonomous region, and there are the people living in the urban area, on the other hand there are the people who continue still a traditional lifestyle in the mountain range.

桂林について

桂林は中国南部の山岳地帯にあり、標高１５０ｍのカルスト盆地です。

深さ数ｋｍの石灰岩で覆われていることにより、この地の風景は数十ｍ以上の尖った無数の山々が形づくる。

桂林市の人口は５００万人、市区の人口は７４万人と大都会です。

この自治区には多くの少数民族がおり、都市に暮らす人々もいるが、今も山岳地帯で昔ながらの生活を続ける人々もいる。

Our excursion boat travels slowly down the river a range of about 60 km long over four hours.

Various shapes of the mountains appears in right and left, and we can see traditional nature and living on the riverside.

遊覧船が６０ｋｍほどを４時間かけてゆっくり下る。

多彩な山容が左右に流れて行き、川辺には昔ながらの自然と暮らしが垣間見える。

Everybody was people who I met for the first time, and there were people who participated from far away outside Kinki Region.

Much people were experienced travelers, and had one’s own unique view.

Sometimes, someone led us skillfully, and other persons deferred to it, and thanks to this, our trip became happy and excitative.

I thank all participants and a local guide heartily.

皆、初めて会った人々で、近畿圏外の遠くから来られた人々もいる。

多くは旅慣れた人であり、一家言ある人達でした。

時には、彼らの巧みなリードぶりと老境の謙譲さが程良く調和し、楽しくチャレンジに満ちた旅となりました。

皆、人生の一仕事（子育て、仕事）を終え、更に意気盛んな人々でした。

参加者と現地ガイドに心より感謝します。

Now, things that I think about this trip

Guilin was a very lively big city.

On the other hand, the people enjoy this firm grand that the Lijiang River flows through.

In there, their festinate behavior had coexisted with magnanimous mind in the magnificent nature.

Although it was incoherent, there was immeasurable energy, and there was not fragile thing that I felt about China before we traveled.

This continues next time.

今、思うこと

桂林は実に活気ある大都市でした。

一方で人々は漓江が流れるこの大地を満喫している。

そこには気ぜわしさとおおらかさが雄大な自然の中で共存していた。

ここには、ちぐはぐだが底知れないエネルギーがあり、日本で抱いていた危うげな中国を感じさせるものはなかった。

クロアチア・スロベニアを巡って　２：　ブレッド湖

Today, I introduce a lake in the Julian Alps of northwestern Slovenia. 

Once again, I take the liberty of resting from my blog for one week.

今日は、スロベニア北西部の山岳部にある湖を紹介します。

また、勝手ながら１週間ほど、ブログを休ませていただきます。

Lake Bled

This lake is at an altitude of 500 m in a basin that was surrounded by Julian Alps, its length is about 2 km, and is famous of scenic spot.

On the lake, there is one island that Assumption Church has been built in.

Bled Castle is on top of a cliff of the northern shore and there is other church at the right side.

A main street of hotel district led up from the lakeshore, and it is about 10 minutes from Hotel Krim that we stayed in to the lakeshore on foot.

Main itinerary

In an evening of August 30, we arrived at the hotel, and I walked around the lakeshore at the night.

In the next day, I took a picture from before dawn.

After breakfast, we went to the boat dock (No.4) for sightseeing, crossed to the island by a rowing boat, and fully enjoyed the landscape of Lake Bled from about 7:00 to 8:30.

ブレッド湖

この湖は長さ約２ｋｍで、アルプスに囲まれた標高５００ｍにあり風光明媚で有名です。

湖には聖マリア教会が建つ島があり、湖の北岸の断崖にブレッド城、その右に教会があります。

ホテル街が湖畔から伸びており、私達が泊まったHotel Krimから湖畔まで歩いて１０分ほどです。

主な行程

８月３０日の夕刻、私達はホテルに到着し、私は夜の湖畔を散策し、次ぎの日、夜明け前から湖畔で撮影した。

観光は朝食後、バスで④ボート乗り場に向かい、手漕ぎボートで島に渡り、約７時～８時半までブレッド湖の風景を満喫しました。

This mountain is used to the national flag of Slovenia.

The sunrise of this day was about 6:20, but it seems to have become bright after 7:00.

Many tourists tolled a bell that grants a wish with pulling the rope.

It was very balmy time under a brilliantly sunny morning.

Bled lake was cleanliness and its nature was unspoiled.

あとがき

快晴で清々しい朝でした。

ブレッド湖は観光化されているが清潔で自然保護が行きとどき、素晴らしい一時を過ごせました。

社会と情報 ５２： 戦った報道 ９

＜　１．シベリア出兵　＞

今日は、報道が権力に屈服する瞬間を追います。

この年は、奇しくも日本が大陸進出へと大きく踏み出した年でもありました。

＜２．　米騒動を伝える新聞　＞

１９１８年に何が起きたのか

この年の7月、富山で米騒動が起こり、またたく間に全国に飛び火した。

８月、日本軍７３０００人がシベリアに出兵し、１９２２年まで駐留した。

９月、寺内内閣が総辞職し、次いで初の政党内閣が誕生した。

そして１０月、新聞「大阪朝日」の社長と編集局長らが大挙辞任し、政府に陳謝する事態が起きた。

この事態が起きた背景を見ます

１９１４年に第一次世界大戦が起きたことにより、日本は好景気に沸いたが、インフレと経済格差が貧困層を襲った。

またこの大戦とロシア革命（１９０５年、１９１７年）は日本の軍事状況を大きく変えることになった。

一つに、１９１４年、同盟国英国は極東で戦闘が始まれば援助を希望すると伝えて来たが、日本はその前に軍隊を派遣し中国に駐留した。

さらに１９１８年、英仏米はドイツを牽制しロシア革命を阻止する為に、シベリア出兵を日本の７０００名派兵で合意した。

しかし日本は１０倍を越える派兵を行い、停戦で英仏米が撤退した後も駐留し、領土的野心を露骨にした。

この年、軍事費は国家財政の３０％を越えた（日露戦争では８０％）。

これらことも重なり米価は高騰し、地方の不満を爆発させ米騒動の引き金になった。

＜　３．　当時の日本帝国の占領地　＞

なぜ日本は軍事侵攻を押し進めたのか

前回見たように、１９１４年、不満を持つ国民は国会を取り囲んで海軍の山本内閣を打倒したが、この時、もう一つの不満要因があった。

１９１３年、南京で邦人３人が中国軍によって殺害されたが、その対応で政府は弱腰外交と批難され、右翼により外務省局長が暗殺されていた。

１９１４年、日本がドイツに宣戦布告した時、新聞「東京朝日」と「東京日日」は、この政府の方針について、軍事的・経済的利益拡大の意義を強調し、中国領土の侵犯を容認する社説をかかげて支持していた。

こうして軍部と右翼だけでなく国民世論も大陸侵攻へと傾斜しつつあった。

反権力をかかげて部数を伸ばして来た大手新聞も、国家主義から抜け出すことが出来ず、また政府を非難することで民衆の関心を惹く一面もあった。

但し、論説誌「東洋経済新報」のみ、これに警鐘を鳴らした。

「野心を遂げようとするならば、それこそ我が国家を危険に投ずる事件を発す」

これは３０年後に実証されることになる。

結局、日本は日清戦争で得た領土（遼東半島）を三国干渉（露・独・仏）で放棄せざるを得なくなったことへの恨みと、大陸への権益拡大に釣られて侵攻を容認するようになっていた。

＜　４．　襲われた神戸の鈴木商店　＞

１９１８年の報道を追います

７月３日、富山で漁港の主婦達が積み出される米を見て米価高騰に業を煮やし、米屋を訪れ「米をよそへやらないで」と陳情した。

これが８月にかけて県内に広がっていった。

これを報じた富山の「高岡新報」の記事を県外紙が誇張した。

「２百余名の一隊が高松家を襲いたるさい、高松の妻が『苦しけりゃ、死んでしまえ』と言い放ち、一隊は大いに憤り、・・その女房を袋叩きにして引き揚げたり（高岡外電）」

これは「大阪毎日」の記事だが、「大阪朝日」も変わりはなかった。

この報道は事実ではなかったが、これが引き金になり、９月には日本全国に騒動が飛び火した。

各新聞は騒動を同情的に

報道し政府を非難する大キャンペーンをはった。

この間、打ち壊しや放火が起き、炭坑では出動した軍隊に対してダイナマイトで抵抗する事態が発生し流血事件も起きた。

政府は、先の「高岡新報」を発禁処分にし、米騒動に関する一切の報道を各紙に禁じた。

８月１５日、これに対して新聞各社は報道禁止令の解除を求める決議を行い、内務大臣に申し入れを行い、大臣は折れた。

８月２５日、その余勢をかつて大阪で朝日新聞社長が座長となり８６社が集まり、「米騒動の責任追及、シベリア出兵と言論弾圧の反対を掲げて、内閣弾劾」を決議した。

この状況を「大阪朝日」は報じた。

「・・誇りを持った我が大日本帝国は、今や恐ろしい最後の裁きの日に近づいているのではなかろうか。『白虹日を貫けり』と昔の火とが呟いた不吉な兆しが黙々として、・・・人々の頭に、稲妻のように閃く・・」

政府はこの文言を問題にし記事を発禁処分にし、さらに９月９日、政府転覆を目指すものとして朝日を起訴した。

９月２１日、報道攻勢にさしもの寺内陸軍大将の率いる内閣も倒れた。

彼は日露戦争で貢献し、韓国併合を推し進め、巨額資金（西原借款）を中国軍閥に注ぎ中国に深く関わり、武断政治を行っていた。

９月２８日、右翼が朝日の社長を襲う事件が起きた。

１０月１５日、「大阪朝日」は突如として、社長以下、多くの編集局長が辞任し退社した。

１２月４日に判決が下され、朝日の執筆記者は禁固二ヶ月と軽微で済んだ。

＜　５．　寺内首相　＞

朝日に何が起きたのか

政府は「白虹日を貫けり」が秦の始皇帝暗殺を暗示させ、天皇や政府を害するものとした。

この因縁のつけ方は、秀吉が大徳寺三門の件で千利休を、家康が方広寺の「国家安康」で秀頼を追いつめるのに使ったものと同じです。

こんなことで簡単に大新聞が転向するものなのでしょうか

当時、関西では不買運動が起こり、右翼系新聞は朝日攻撃のキャンペーンを張り他紙も追随していた。

この右翼系新聞を動かしたのは内務大臣の後藤新平で、後に官僚出身の正力松太郎が読売を再建する際に多額の資金援助をしている。

一番、朝日が恐れていたのは新聞の発行停止の判決が出ることだった。

これを防ぐには判決が出る前に、朝日自ら政府に陳謝の礼を尽くすことで、政府はこれを待っていた。

そして、朝日は判決日の直前１２月１日に、自ら違反したことを認め、改めることを新聞に載せた。

これを期に反権力の先鋒だった大手新聞は沈黙し、やがて迎合していくことになり、日本は太平洋戦争へとひた走ることになる。

記者たちの抵抗は続くが、さらなる一撃が待ち受けていた。

Went around Croatia and Slovenia 1: introduction

クロアチア・スロベニアを巡って　１：　はじめに

I saw the sights of 4 countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina) in the Balkan Peninsula facing the Adriatic Sea and Doha (Qatar) in the Arabian Peninsula.

It was very wonderful travel.

I was heavily involved in the glittering sights of the Adriatic Sea, in the magnificent nature, in the ancient city that keeps still living and in their life. 

I introduce this trip by many photographs from now.

私はアドリア海に面したバルカン半島の４ヵ国（スロベニア、クロアチア、モンテネグロ、ボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナ）とアラビア半島のドーハ（カタール）を観光して来ました。

実に素晴らしい旅行でした。

私は陽光輝くアドリア海と大自然、今も生き続ける古代都市と人々の暮らしにどっぷり浸かって来ました。

これから、多くの写真を使い旅行の様子を紹介します。

Summary of this trip

I joined a tour organized by a tour company with my wife.

Travel schedule were from Saturday, August 29, 2015 to Sunday, September 6.

We shuttled between Kansai International Airport and Zagreb Airport via Doha Airport by airplanes.

We went around the actual place by a bus.

Good points of this trip

We visited five world heritages, two capitals, and other three sightseeing spots, and were able to contact the history, nature and people's life.

We were able to enjoy walk because there was the free time from approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours in each sightseeing spot.

Almost everyday, we were able to enjoy walk around our hotel in morning and evening a little.

Slightly bad points of this trip

In the end of August, the lingering summer heat is still intense, and the shadow of photograph appeared strongly.

It was a little regrettable that there wasn’t a half day of free time.

旅行の概要

ツアー名　：パート２　夢のクロアチア・スロベニア5ヵ国9日間

旅行日　　：２０１５年８月２９日（土）～９月６日（日）

主な行程　：関空・ドーハ経由・ザグレブ空港間を往復。現地は総べてバス移動。

この旅行の良かった点

催行人員１４名で大型バスに乗ったので、移動が楽で観光がスムーズだった。

世界遺産５ヵ所と首都2ヵ所、観光地３ヶ所を訪れ、歴史と自然、暮らしに接することが出来た。

OPなし、全食事付きで最も安い旅行だった。

各観光地での自由時間が約１～１．５時間ほど有り、ほぼ散策を楽しめた。

ヨーロッパのバカンス時期だったので、その賑わいを感じることが出来た。

毎日のホテル着がPM６～７時台になったが、朝夕、ホテル周辺の散策が楽しめた。

ベテラン添乗員とツアー会社の誠意が感じられた。

少し不満な点

年のせいで、私は連日の徒歩観光で足が張ってしまった（体力の問題）。

私に不満はないが、３ヵ所のホテルは排水が不安でシャワーを使用した。

８月末は残暑厳しく、また写真撮影で陰影が強く出てしまう。

半日程度の自由時間が無かったのが少し残念だった。

Now, things that I think about this trip

Before going, I thought that Balkan countries became waste by the civil war and were underdeveloped.

But, I became to have good impression toward local people, while our bus had run on the shoreline of the Adriatic Sea and I had seen them at many towns.

I felt envious of the people who lived in a relaxed way in abundant or wild nature.

On the other hand, I touched a scar of the civil war and a traffic jam in a border checkpoint and saw difference between various races and religions.

Then a question arose.

Why did the people in this area have to suffer?

I introduce this travel and the appearance of Balkan countries from various viewpoints.

This continues next time.

今、思うこと

行く前は、バルカン諸国を内戦で荒れ、遅れた国々ぐらいしか思っていなかった。

しかしアドリア海の海岸線を走り、多くの町で地元の人々に触れていくと好感を持つようになった。

豊かであり荒々しくもある自然に、ゆったりと暮らす人々が羨ましく思えた。

一方で、内戦の傷痕や国境検問所の渋滞に接し、様々な民族と宗教の違いを見ると疑問が沸いてくる。

なぜ、この地域の人々は苦しまなければならなかったのか？

今回の旅行記も、様々な視点でバルカン諸国の様子をお伝えします。
