I feel sad, I feel sad, and I feel empty.

I could do nothing for helping him.

I am full of regret.

In him, I saw noblest virtue that human being has.

50-100 journalists have been killed in the world every year.

At the risk of his life, he had been taking a picture about the absurdity of the war and the people who lived in there.

And he tried to report the news to peaceful Japan.

As there is a reporter like him, we can feel the fighting fields close, we wish for peace strongly and can find a clue of the conflict resolution.

I desire that his holy life will be useful for our creation of peace.

I hope that cycle of revenge doesn't reach a deeper level by this incident.

He says, “Hate is not attribute of human being.”

I wish that everyone didn't make his death wasteful.

I pray sincerely for the repose of soul of Kenij Goto.

悲しい、悲しい、むなしい。

私は何も出来なかった、彼を助けるために。

悔しい思いで一杯です。

私は、彼に人類が持つ最高の崇高さを見た。

毎年、世界で報道記者５０～１００名が殺されています。

彼は、死を賭して戦争による不条理と、そこに生きる人々を撮り続け、平和な日本にそれを伝えようとした。

彼のような記者がいてこそ、私達は戦場を身近に感じ、平和をより強く望み、紛争解決の糸口を見出すことが出来るのです。

彼の尊い命が、私達の平和構築に役立って欲しいと望むばかりです。

今回の事件により、さらに復讐の連鎖が深みへと至らぬことを願います。

彼は言う「憎むは人の業にあらず」と。

どうか、皆さん彼の死を無駄にしないように願います。
