Today, I introduce a resort area in a sore of southeastern Awaji-island.

It is Suntopia Marina and Sumoto Hot Spring mainly.

I visited here at 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. on December 20.

今日は、淡路島南東部の海岸のリゾートを紹介します。

主にサントピアマリーナと洲本温泉です。

訪れたのは１２月２０日の１０：００～１１：３０です。

This aria is in the Seto Inland Sea National Park, and is sandwiched between a mountain and a seashore facing Tomoga-Island Channel.

There is the Sumoto Hot Spring immediately, and Yura port in the south end.

It is the largest resort area in Awaji-island, and has a big yacht harbor, many tennis courts, hotels, and resort apartment buildings.

Around this area, people can enjoy fishing, yacht, tennis, hot spring, and seafoods with the family.

When my children were small, I came here with my family well, too.

ここは瀬戸内海国立公園にあり、山と友ヶ島水道を臨む海岸線に挟まれ、すぐ隣りには洲本温泉、南端には由良港があります。

ここは淡路島で最大規模のリゾートで、ヨットハーバー、テニスコート、ホテル、リゾートマンションが揃っています。

ここ一帯で、釣りやヨット、テニス、温泉、海の幸などを家族で楽しむことが出来ます。

私も子供が小さい頃は家族でよく来ました。

We can overlook the Sumoto Hot Spring facing the Osaka bay from here.

ここからは大阪湾に面している温泉街が一望出来る。

The photographing is from the shore of the south side of the Suntopia marina.

Upper photo:  We can see the Yura Port and the Narug-Island at the end of the shoreline.

One black thing is seen on the sea surface.

Lower photo:  The black thing mentioned above was a diver diving in without diving equipment.

Probably he caught shellfishes.

Blessed with beautiful weather, I strolled in the Suntopia marina, and then had lunch in a hotel of the Sumoto Hot Spring.

It was a calm day in winter.

冬の穏やかな一日でした。

クロアチア・スロベニアを巡って　２１：　リゾート地ネウム

I introduce our stage Neum today.

We stayed at a hotel in here for 2 days from Tuesday 1 September.

今日は、宿泊地ネウムを紹介します。

ここのホテルに、9月1日（火）、２日（水）と２連泊しました。

A red point is the hotel in Neum and a black point is Dubrovnik.

Black line is the border, and Neum belongs Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The width of the shoreline of Neum dividing Croatia is 9km.

Here is the best resort area of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is because Dubrovnik gave this area to Ottoman in 1699 to protect from Venice that possessed the north side shore from it.

赤丸がネウムのホテル、黒丸がドゥブロブニクです。

黒い線が国境を示し、ネウムはボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナに属しています。

クロアチアを分断しているネウムの海岸線の巾は９ｋｍです。

ここはボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナきってのリゾート地です。

このようのなったのは、ここより北側海岸を領有していたベネチアとの防波堤にする為に、この地をドゥブロブニクが１６９９年、オスマンに譲ったからでした。

The hotel was full of visitors, but the visitors from Asia were few.

There were elderly people who had been enjoying sea bathing.

ホテルはお客さんで一杯でしたが、アジアからの客は少なかった。

At about 8:00 A.M., I walked around the lower shore of the hotel.

There were persons who already were enjoying sea bathing.

朝８時頃、ホテル下の海岸を散策した。

既に海水浴を楽しむ人がいた。

I took a walk to the west side along the shore.

The water was clear, and the sky was clear, too and I was refreshed.

A woman who embraced a child from the other side came, so I called to her.

"What country did you come from?"

I thought she came from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

But she was a Croatian.

She was able to speak English, but I was poor speaker of English, so I only talked a little.

I early want to talk in English free.

I associated the gentle mother and a child with a statue of “Virgin with Child”.

This continues next time.

私は海岸に沿って西側を散策しました。

水は綺麗で空も晴れ渡り、清々しかった。

向こうから子供を抱いた女性が来たので、声をかけました。

「あなたは何処の国から来たのですか？」

私は彼女がボスニア・ヘルツゴビナから来た人か知りたかった。

答えはクロアチアの人でした。

彼女は英語が出来たのですが、私がダメなので、少し会話をして別れました。

早く、英語で自由に喋りたいものです。

私は、この柔和な母子にマリアの聖母子像を連想していました。

桂林を訪れました １２： 龍脊棚田 ２

今日は、棚田を抜けてヤオ族の村まで行きます。

駐車場から村まで約１ｋｍの平坦な道を歩きます。

稲穂はまだ黄金色になっていませんでした。

また稲穂の背が日本種より低いように思いました。

これでは農耕作業はきついでしょうね。

特に灌漑用の水路がなく、この小川で代用しているのでしょう。

食堂は非常に綺麗な作りで見晴らしも良かった。

非常に観光化が進んでいる。

出されたのは素朴な料理でしたが、私達の舌には合っていた。

特に珍しいものはなかった。

私が、「鳥の骨を棄てる器を下さい」と言うと、「下の犬にやって下さい」と言われた。

ここでは昔から家畜とこのように共生している。

瑶（ヤオ）族について

彼らは中国長江以南、ここ広西チワン族自治区や雲南等から東南アジアのベトナム，ラオス，タイなどの山岳地帯にかけて広く分布している。

この村のよう分散しながら、中国だけで約214万人(1990)が暮らしている。

言語的にはミヤオ(苗)族に近い。

彼らは本来無文字であるが，中国文化と古くから接触していたために漢字が受容された。

元･明時代に、漢民族の進出により南下した。

中国王朝の統治政策としばしば対立し，特に明代中期以降大規模な反乱が各地で発生した。

彼ら独特の神話に、古代中国の王女と犬の間に生まれた12姓のヤオ族を始祖とする伝承があり、これが史記に取り入れられ後に日本に伝わって南総里見八犬伝に取り入れられたとされている。

ヤオ族は山間部において焼畑耕作に従事して陸稲やトウモロコシなどを作って移動していたが，現在は梯田耕作や水田耕作，あるいは林業などを行い定住的な村落社会を形成している集団もある。

宗教は基本的にはアニミズムであるが，道教の影響が顕著にみられる。

クロアチア・スロベニアを巡って　２０：　コトル２

I introduce the Kotor in the castle wall today.

It was a small town, but there was the feature of a harbor city that lived to the Middle Ages from the ancient times in here.

今日は、城壁内のコトルを紹介します。

小さな町ですが、古代から中世に生きた港湾都市の面影がそこにはありました。

This castle wall is the total length 4.5 km, and the altitude reaches up to 260 m, the biggest high is 20 m, and the thickness is 2-16 m.

There are 14 churches in Kotor.

Central photo:  Serbian Orthodox church of St. Nicholas was built in 1909.

I entered inside, but I was impressed by the sacredness, and I couldn’t take the picture.

Many icons were displayed.

Lower photo:  This bell tower of church was built in 1221 on fundaments of the old Christian Episcopal basilica from the sixth century.

このコトルには１４の教会があります。

中に入りましたが、神聖さに打たれ写真撮影を控えました。

ここはセルビア正教会で、イコンが飾ってありました。

It is an Orthodox church.

ここも正教会です。

教会の多くは古い教会に改造や増築がなされ、その痕跡が残っています。

It was a very small church, but we were able to look at many icons and crosses.

There was a mosaic fresco of religious painting that was considerably damaged, too.

I saw Orthodox Churches that I had expected in this trip, and I think I smelled a fragrance of the Byzantine culture.

非常に小さい教会ですが、多くのイコンと十字架を見ることが出来ました。

かなり痛んでいたが宗教画のモザイク壁画もありました。

今回の旅行で楽しみにしていた正教会を見て、ビザンチンの香りを嗅いだように思います。

About Kotor

This city has been appointed to a world heritage for a history inheritance, and became a anchorage site of many Cruise ships because scenic.

This harbor city began the Roman Empire period, was governed by Byzantine and the north race.

And it allied with Ragusa republic (Dubrovnik), or contended against it at one stage.

The present cityscape and castle wall almost were formed during Venice rule period of the 15-18th century, and it experienced two times of Ottoman rule and earthquakes in the meantime.

At the time of World War I, this port became full of the warships of the Austria-Hungary Empire.

This Montenegro was desperately struggling between the large countries of the north and south during 2000, too.

コトルについて

ここは歴史遺産で世界遺産に指定され、また風光明媚なのでクルーズ船の寄港地になっています。

この港湾都市は、紀元前のローマ時代から始まり、ビザンチン、続いて北方民族の支配を受け、またラグーサ共和国（ドゥブロブニク）と同盟したり対抗したりもした。

１５から１８世紀のベネチア支配で今の町並みや城壁が形作られ、その間に２回のオスマン支配と地震を経験した。

第一次世界大戦時、この港はオーストリア・ハンガリー帝国の軍艦で一杯になった。

このモンテネグロの地も２千年の間、南北の大国の狭間で悪戦苦闘した。

桂林を訪れました １１： 龍脊棚田 １

＜　１．　龍脊棚田　＞

これから、桂林の山岳部にある少数民族の村を紹介します。

ここには美しい棚田と少数民族の暮らしがあります。

今日は、桂林から村までの道筋を紹介します。

日程の概要

訪問したのは２０１５年９月１８日で、平野部は薄曇りでしたが、山は雲で覆われ一時霧雨が降りました。

それでも十分に自然と村を堪能することが出来ました。

ホテルを８：００に出発し、バスを降り散策を始めたのは１１：２０から、村で昼食を取り、バスで帰路に着いたのは１３：４５でした。

村は山の急斜面にあり、標高６７０から９２０ｍの間で上下に伸びている。

その山頂は標高１２００から１４００ｍあり、旅客中心は標高３００ｍの谷底にある。

龍脊について

この桂林が属する広西チワン族自治区は、名前の示す通りチワン族をはじめ十数以上の民族が漢族と共に暮らしています。

これら少数民族はかつて南下して来て山岳部に暮らすようになった。

現在は各地に定住し、また平野部に暮らす人々も増えています。

龍脊はその山岳部の定住地の一つで、私たちが訪問するのはヤオ族の村の一つです。

この龍脊にはトン族などの異なる民族が周辺に多くの村で暮らしています。

ヤオ族は元来、焼畑と狩猟を行っていた民族で、他の山岳民族もそうですがかつては国境を越えて移動していました。

現在は、定住政策により稲作農耕を行っており、それが美しい棚田の景観を生んでいます。

私は中国南方の少数民族の村を訪れるのが楽しみでした。

かつて福建省の山岳部にある客家土楼を訪れて、強い絆で結ばれ、昔ながらの素朴な暮らしをしている人々に感銘を受けました。

たった数時間の訪問でしたが、彼らの暮らしぶりを紹介したいと思います。

I introduce Kotor that is a maritime republic of the Middle Ages and the world heritage in twice.

Today, I introduce Kotor gulf and the castle wall of Kotor.

2回に分けて、中世の海洋都市、世界遺産のコトルを紹介します。

今日は、コトル湾とコトルの城壁を紹介します。

The upper side of all maps is the north.

Upper map:  The tip of a red arrow indicates Kotor, and a black point is Dubrovnik.

The direct distance of Kotor between Dubrovnik is 60km.

Central map: A red arrow indicates Kotor, and a red point is a church in an island (photo 4).

Black arrows indicate our bus route to Kotor, and blue arrows do the route on the way back.

We crossed to an opposite shore with a ferry one time on the way back.

Lower map:  Orange-colored town is Kotor.

There was a maritime republic that continued since ancient times in the back of the gulf.

The triangular port town of a side 60 m was sandwiched between the gulf and the steep mountains that reached an attitude of 1,700 m, so it was protected.

Furthermore, the slope of the mountain was surrounded with castle walls to 200 m above sea level.

古代から続く海洋都市は湾内の奥深くにありました。

一辺３００ｍの三角形の港町は標高１７００ｍにも達する急峻な山々と湾に挟まれて守られていた。

さらに山の斜面には標高２００ｍまで城壁が巡らされていた。

ここはモンテネグロにあり、今回、この国で唯一の訪問地になります。
